What is an R-value and which one do I need?

Is Earthwool insulation safe to handle?

Yes — Earthwool is bonded with the bio-based ECOSE® binder, contains no added formaldehyde, and is soft to touch. Standard PPE (gloves, dust mask, long sleeves) is still recommended during installation.

What's the difference between thermal and acoustic insulation?

Thermal insulation focuses on reducing heat transfer (high R-value), while acoustic insulation uses denser batts to absorb sound. Many Earthwool products perform well in both roles.

Can I install insulation myself?

Yes — most ceiling and wall batts are DIY-friendly. Sarking and roofing blanket are typically installed by your roofer during construction.
